| + Product Quality
Many manufacturers state that they produce pharmaceutical-grade
products. The reality is that many such claims are overstated
and that it is a buyer beware environment. Olfactive
has both a Pharmaceutical Licence and a Natural Health Product
Site Licence.
To obtain certification:
Validation: Before use of any equipment, Olfactive proceeds
through rigid testing to confirm that all equipment can
be properly cleaned, that the equipment operates within
limits acceptable to regulations and that all processes
deliver appropriate efficacies and cleanliness with regard
to finished product. Equipment under this classification
extends through all stages of production, including air-handling,
blending, encapsulation, tablet compression, powder filling,
all packaging, raw material handling, and cleaning equipment.
Testing: Before raw materials can be released for use, they
must be accessed by our quality department. During the manufacturing
process, a sample of blended product is taken for approval,
as well as several in process finished samples. Before a
product can be released to the customer, several samples
must be sent for analysis on items related to efficacy and
cleanliness. Then and only then can a product be released
to a customer.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Every process performed
at Olfactive has been standardized and written down to eliminate
all confusion and streamline all processes regarding the
production of a particular product. Each time new production
efficiencies are gained, a change occurs to all affected
SOPs As you can imagine, this protects our customers from
variations in product that they receive and demonstrates
why smaller run sizes of new products cost more. If they
don’t, we recommend bracing yourself to variation in the
product you receive.
Training: Every single employee at Olfactive receives
continual training and testing to ensure proficiency in
various job-related SOPs and GMPs. All tasks ranging from
the reception of our guests at our facility to the process
in changing the Hepa-filters on our air-handling units must
be performed in a particular series of steps to guarantee
consistency. Olfactive has been regularly audited by both
their customers and various government agencies and every
time we receive praise along the lines of "Not excessive,
but extremely functional!"
